About this event

This session will take a look at the university’s effort reporting system and process, and compare it to what other universities are doing. Although the current regulations in 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Guidance allow for flexibility in the methods of documentation of personnel costs, the University of Houston has elected to continue to follow the more restrictive requirements in OMB Circular A-21 section J.10. We will discuss whether or not UH should also take steps to change now, or continue to monitor how auditors are reacting to some of the new options put in place at other institutions before taking action.

This 50-in-5 session is part of the Division of Research’s University Research Explained Series, developed to support faculty in a variety of research and innovation efforts.
