About the Event

Over the past few years, mRNA medicines have been front-and-center in public discourse due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the development of the COVID-19 vaccine is a case study in the ability of science and technology to aid humanity in moments of need. With the success of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, this previously little-known technology is spearheading the next wave of precision genetic medicines. Starting with the central dogma of molecular biology, Moderna’s story of the commercializing mRNA-1273 (the COVID-19 vaccine) will be explored, as well as the future of this exciting new frontier of biotechnology.
