Today's #IsmailiProfessional spotlight is Dr. Neelofer Tajani, who is an Early Childhood Education Faculty for the College of Education at University of Houston. She teaches Curriculum Design and Instruction to preservice teachers and advises masters and doctoral students. With over 20 years of experience, she actively researches the effects of engaging families in student learning and is currently investigating teacher candidates' perspectives and the impact of COVID-19 on urban teacher education. Passionate about lifelong learning and sharing her knowledge, Dr. Tajani has presented her work at various local, national and International conferences such as American Educational Research Association (AERA), Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (TXAEYC) and at Institute of Educational Development at Aga Khan University. Her early inspiration to become an early childhood educator came from serving in AKEB’s ECDC program and today is a published author with various educational and practitioner journals. Her career advice: “Remember there is no age limit for learning so follow your passion for knowledge. You will be surprise the support and cheering you will have from your family and community for you to be successful in this life-long journey.”
