Faculty Panelists

  • Blake A. Allan, an associate professor and director of the counseling psychology doctoral program, will present on “Working during COVID-19: Inequity, Uncertainty and Loss.”
  • Ruth M. López, an assistant professor of school leadership, will present on “Supporting K-12 and College Latinx Students Through a Public Crisis.” 
  • April Peters-Hawkins, an associate professor and associate chair of the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, will present on “Brave Conversations: Talking to Children About Race.”

Alumni Spotlight

  • Diana Castillo, a two-time UH alumna and the principal of Houston ISD’s Pilgrim Academy, will share lessons learned from leading her team to support students amid the pandemic.
