Family care emergencies can disrupt your whole day. Bright Horizons Back-Up Care™, a benefit available to you if offered by your employer, can give you peace of mind, providing replacement care when regular arrangements fall through.

Now the program is in the palm of your hand! As a user of Bright Horizons Back-Up Care, you can conveniently schedule care right from your mobile device with the Back-Up Care app. Whether your regular caregiver calls in sick, your child has a school holiday, or you’re transitioning back to work from parental leave, the Back-Up Care app is your easy, time-saving solution to managing family care challenges while on the go.

You can use the Back-Up Care app to:
• Sign up for your benefit (to get started, you just need your employer’s username and password)
• Submit a new request for back-up care
• Request previously used caregivers
• View details of existing reservations
• Receive notifications when reservations are confirmed
• Quickly create new reservations by copying past reservations
• Find nearby centers and view each location on a map
• Add confirmed reservations to your device’s calendar
• Get details about your benefit offering

*Please note: Your employer must participate in Bright Horizons Back-Up Care in order to use this app. Not all employers who participate allow the use of this app. Please contact your human resources department for information on benefit availability.

UPDATE 2022-07-22 The issues have been fixed. I have been using it for the last few weeks and my experience is positive. My only recommendation is to change the caregiver preference option from single choice to multiple choice. Thanks for listening to the feedback. ======= It's logging me out frequently. Everytime typing my login credentials does not make sense. No other mobile app is such frustrating. I decided to use website instead of dealing with such issues. Thanks but no thanks.

Lots of bugs. Cannot choose 12pm as a start time. Also times change from what you select when you try to enter the end time. Reported this problem weeks ago and still not fixed. App is not really useable. Better off using the web version or another app. It appears the select time app hasn't been working for almost a year according to the other reviewers. I don't understand why they can't fix the app after all the negative feedback!!? So this app wins for worst app and support ever!

This app is horrible! First it wouldn't let me click on which state I was in. The box was totally grayed out and you were unable to move forward because it requires the state. Well then let me click on it! Then, it said "county required" but there was NO box to choose a county! This app and this COMPANY is TERRIBLE. People need back-up assistance and reimbursement during this unforseen pandemic, and they are deliberately not wanting to help, although the illusion of "offering" help is there.
