The WGRC is Seeking Student Ambassadors

The Women and Gender Resource Center (WGRC) is seeking volunteers for our student ambassador program. These student leaders help our office with trainings, workshops, and signature events. The ambassadors are known as the CORE team, the student voice for Gender Equity and Gender Justice at UH.

Project T.R.E.E. Officer Opportunities

Project T.R.E.E. is recruiting officers!

Project Teaching Refugees Effective English provides English tutoring to incoming refugee adults to develop their self-sufficiency. Those who would like to connect with the refugee community through this project have the opportunity to apply for officer positions!

Recordings of Library Services Open Forum Series Now Available

Last week, University of Houston Libraries held a series of online open forums about library services geared toward graduate students. Librarians explained how these services are related to graduate study, research, and teaching, and how librarians work with graduate students.

The series was recorded and each session is accessible online via Microsoft Stream.

Coogs Conquer (C-2) Series

Join CAPS for Coogs Conquer (C-2) Series on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 2PM. It's free and open to UH students, faculty, and staff. Complete schedule and Zoom link here.

  • Coogs Conquer Anxiety - Ongoing disruption to our daily lives by COVID-19 and news coverage of racial unrest can cause a range of feelings. Learn how to cope with these ups and downs.

LGBTQ+ Discussion Groups

These digital LGBTQIA+ discussion groups/events are for students to connect and talk about anything that is on their minds as we all try to stay engaged and in community.

CAPS Let's Talk

CAPS is here for you, Cougars! Do you need a brief consultation with a counselor, but not interested in on-going services? “Let’s Talk” is a perfect alternative. This consultation service is available from 3–4PM, Monday through Friday to all UH students, faculty, and staff. To access a counselor, call 713-743-5454 and Let’s Talk!

Suicide Prevention Training: QPR

Want to take action to support mental health this July #MinorityMentalHealthMonth? Sign up for suicide prevention training with CAPS every Wednesday at 1PM. Registration required.
