The New York Times features celebrated UH professor Grieving: Dispatches From a Wounded Country by Christina Rivera-Garza is recently featured in The New York Times book review. Dr. Rivera-Garza is the founder and director of the UH doctoral program in Hispanic Studies with a Concentration in Creative Writing in Spanish, in addition to an internationally acclaimed writer. She is also one of very few teaching faculty to receive an honorary doctorate in Humane Letters from the University of Houston. |
