Donuts with Dr. Dan!

Welcome back to the University of Houston (UH).  I hope over the semester break you were able to find some time to disconnect so you could rest, relax, and rejuvenate in preparation for the spring semester.  The UH Division of Student Affairs (DSA) is excited to have you back on campus and we look forward to providing you with many opportunities to engage, inquire, discover, and have some fun as part of your Cougar Experience.  Whether you are a student living in one of the residence halls, in an apartment, or at home, we truly want you to find ways to connect and reconnect across the campus community.  The staff in the DSA is here to support your success and provide assistance where needed as you navigate your collegiate experience at UH.

In my role as the Interim Vice President of Student Affairs, I am interested in learning about your Cougar Experience.  The Division of Student Affairs is comprised of 23 departments which include the Student Centers, The Justin Dart, Jr. Accessibility Center, Center for Student Involvement, The Recreation Center, Student Housing, Veteran Services, Counseling and Psychological Services, LGBTQ Resource Center, and more. When I speak with students,  I learn a bit more about what we are doing well, where you have been challenged, and where you think we can do better.  Over the course of the last year, I hosted multiple small group sessions to listen to students and encourage them to share their insights about the services we provide to learn about their experience with the intention of providing all students with exceptional service.  I call these sessions "Donuts with Dr. Dan" and, yes there are donuts and other refreshments at each session.  If you would be interested in sharing your perspective with me, click the link to register and I will look forward to seeing you at an upcoming "Donuts with Dr. Dan" session. Click this link to sign up!
