Coogs Making Movies!The University of Houston (UH) Adjunct Faculty Lecturer, Jack J. Valenti School of Communicatons and Film Director, Greg Carter directed the new Christmas Movie, Hip Hop Family Christmas Wedding, produced by Jamie Foxx. This holiday movie will air on VH1 on November 30, 2022 at 8 p.m. The students in Instructor Carter's class Communication 4398, also assisted on set through their coursework as he directed the film. As a part of the course, UH students had the opportunity to learn through experience on set of an actual film. This is intended to provide a framework for the understanding of the role and function of filmmaking. The students gained experience on how to produce a film from beginning to end and during the semester they gained hands on knowledge of working on set of a major production.
