All Majors Career Fair: In-person and virtual

Students and recent alumni of all majors are invited to virtually connect with recruiters or with employers in-person from various industries. When: September 30. Virtually: 10 a.m. to Noon, Cougar Pathway. In-person: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Student Center South, Houston Room

2022-23 FAFSA Opens October 1

The 2022-23 FAFSA opens Friday, October 1. Don't forget you need to complete the FAFSA form each year you are in school to keep receiving financial aid. The sooner you apply, the better!

SGA University Committees Open!

Virtual Pop-Up Library + Book Showcase

Join us for a fun virtual event via Instagram in partnership with Blaffer Art Museum's First Friday Studio Sessions. Start by browsing through a selection of curated art books & museum catalogs on view. Then learn how to " tell a story" through fiber art & water media. For Fall 2021 Session 4, the last day to add a class is Wednesday, September 29, and the last day to drop a course or withdraw without receiving a grade is Thursday, September 30.

Coming Out Monologues: Call for Submissions!

The Coming Out Monologues are performed each fall by LGBTQ+ students who share their own stories and experiences. Some stories are sad, and and some are funny, but all empower participants to embrace their identities. We are looking for participants for this year's show! This is an opportunity to share your story alongside a supportive cast who are doing the same. The event will be November 4 at 6 p.m., but content submissions are due October 3.

Gender Reveal Party

This experiential workshop guides individual reflection and group dialogue on gender experiences as individuals and provides education on the global impacts of gender expectations. Students, staff, and faculty will explore the nuances and joys of gender, and identify how gender shapes the world, all while decorating and devouring cupcakes. It’s the final week of National Preparedness Month, and we're sounding the alarm about the University of Houston Outdoor Warning Siren System. The siren is designed to alert persons on campus of an emergency situation that requires them to seek shelter indoors for their safety.
