Career Fair Prep Workshop

Get ready to shine at your next career fair with our Career Fair Prep Workshop. Learn to present yourself with confidence, dress the part, craft a compelling elevator pitch, target companies through research, master the art of professional networking, and discover effective follow up methods. Don’t miss this dynamic workshop!

Step UP & Help a Coog

This evidence-based program educates students to effectively and safely intervene in instances of potential harm. This 45-minute skill-building session includes learning how to safely intervene and practice with real-life examples.

Government and Non-Profit Career Mixer

The Government & Non-Profit Career Mixer is a collaboration between University Career Services (UCS) and the Hobby School of Public Affairs. The event is open to ALL majors but is targeted to public policy, economics, law, social work, psychology, and business majors. This event is an opportunity for local companies to recruit UH students and alumni for open roles.

Denim Day

Denim Day is a global campaign that takes place annually in April as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. It was sparked by a controversial court ruling that suggested a victim’s tight jeans implied consent, highlighting the harmful myths surrounding sexual assault. Wearing denim on this day is a visible way to challenge victim-blaming.

Show your support by posting an Instagram pic in your denim. Tag @uhwgrc and tell us why you support survivors. 3 winners will be selected for our Denim Day Giveaway!
