Dear Campus Community,

Starting tomorrow (Wednesday, Oct. 7) at 3 p.m., anyone with a valid UH parking permit will be allowed to park in any ungated student zone lot or ungated faculty-staff lot on campus at any time of day, seven days a week.

This temporary change in the parking rules will greatly increase the number of parking options available to you.

How Long Will the New Rules be in Place?

You will be able to park in any ungated student zone lot or ungated faculty-staff lot at any time with your valid permit through Monday, Jan. 18. Normal parking rules will resume at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19 (the first day of the spring semester).

A Few Parking Reminders

  • When parking on campus, make sure your parking permit is displayed properly.
  • Do not use restricted spaces, such as reserved, disabled, 20-minute unloading and metered.
  • If you park in a metered space, you must pay the fee, even if you have a valid UH parking permit.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at 832-842-1097 or parking@uh.edu.

(Please note: Some campus lots will not be available Thursday, Oct. 8, because of the home football game scheduled for 6:30 p.m. that day).
