CATALYST@Home, a self-paced online training program as an extension of their popular Catalyst Learning Programs which launched last summer. Participants enjoy pre-selected videos via LinkedIn Learning, online topic discussions, and other learning activities focused on continued professional development while away from campus.

A&F delivered care packages to those who are still working on campus during this unprecedented time.
New Hire Orientation Now Available Online
The UH Talent Development Team has developed an online New Hire Orientation video for new employees. This will allow new UH employees to continue to get important University and HR information while working remotely.
I-9 Modifications Implemented by HR
Human Resources has implemented modified I-9 procedures while employees are working remotely. Employees will still complete section 1 online through Hire Right.
Confidential Counseling Available through the Employee Assistance Program
During these trying times, it can be difficult to manage life and work challenges. The University’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential counseling and referral program available to eligible employees and their families to help with challenges employees may be facing.

7 Tips for Managing Employees while working Remotely During COVID-19
Managing employees remotely can present managers with unique challenges. The HR Business Partner Team has developed resources to help managers work through these challenges.

BCBS Texas Mental Health Virtual Visits
Virtual mental health visits are available through the HealthSelect portal.
Required Return to Work HR Training Announcement
As a prerequisite for returning to campus, the University of Houston developed new mandatory trainings that are specifically created as part of the safe transition back to campus. 
Please note that all employees are not required to return to campus at this time. Employees should not return to campus until their supervisor or Human Resources advises them to do so.

Big Thanks to Facilities!
During COVID-19 response, Facilities/Construction Management has continued  their mission of building futures and maintaining excellence.  Using an innovative approach, scheduling to maintain maximum social distancing, an estimated 315 employees are physically on campus every day to  build new facilities and maintain critical infrastructure.  This includes dedicated housekeepers and technicians that are repairing and replacing equipment, cleaning/disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, removing trash/waste, maintaining landscaping and mowing lawns. The University’s facilities, landscape and Cougar Pride is their priority!
