The Ring Scholarships
The class ring scholarship application opened on Monday, August 1, 2022. The University of Houston Alumni Association (UHAA) will be awarding 3 ring scholarships for the Fall 2022 semester. The Ring Scholarship is available to current students who have completed 70+ college credit hours. It's not too late to apply! All applications are due by Friday, September 16, 2022, by 5pm CST. No late application will be accepted. All applications will be reviewed by a UHAA board member and applicants who have been chosen will be notified by September 23, 2022.

Environmental and Climate Justice Lecture
Robert Bullard will use examples from his research on Houston, the Gulf Coast and beyond to described how race and class are aligned with pollution, unequal protection, and vulnerability. Bullard will also discuss how reducing environmental, health, economic, and racial disparities is a major priority in the ongoing quest for environmental and climate justice.
