Updated 2020 Performance Evaluation Process

Dear Managers and Staff,

In light of the many challenges that have occurred during 2020, Human Resources has developed a flexible and simplified performance evaluation process for this calendar year. Recognizing how COVID-19 may have shifted some of our planned goals or core responsibilities, we are providing the opportunity to update (or validate) goals and objectives for your 2020 Performance Evaluation. As a result, the existing ePerformance documents in PS will be cancelled, but will remain accessible in PS to be copied as needed.

To complete this process, we have created a single one-page Performance document to explain what major responsibilities and goals were achieved during 2020.

The process is easy to complete!

  • Employee provides major responsibilities and goals on the paper template and emails the document to their manager
  • Manager reviews responsibilities and goals (approves/denies) and emails the document to their Sr. Manager
  • Sr. Manager reviews and approves/denies
  • Manager and employee discuss evaluation
  • Manager uploads document and enters rating to the 2020 ePerformance template and closes out the 2020 performance evaluation.

The new deadlines to complete the 2020 Performance document is as follows:

  • The week of November 23 the CY 2020 Performance Process Begins
  • No later than December 16 - Employee Responsibilities and Goals are Due to Manager 
  • No later than January 29 - Manager Rating & Comments are Due to Sr. Manager
  • No later than February 19 - Sr. Manager Reviews, signs and sends back to Manager 
  • No later than March 8 - Manager communicates with Employee and uploads document to the Performance evaluation template
