Applications open for the next Roundtable with the President

We are now taking applications from Coogs who are interested in attending the next Roundtable with President Khator. At this Roundtable, President Khator would like to hear about your campus life experiences. Register here as spots are limited and the deadline to sign up is February 14, 2023, by 1:00 p.m.

If you are selected to attend, you will receive an email confirmation or a telephone call from the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. We ask that you complete the form and briefly share why you should be selected OR tell us about a question or topic you want to discuss with the President, using 50 words or less.

The Roundtable will be an in-person small group in an informal setting on Monday, February 20, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Cultural Taste of Houston

Cultural Taste of Houston is a food festival here at the University of Houston! We invite local cultural restaurants from all over the greater Houston area to campus, to showcase their most popular and tasty menu items. Because of our partnerships, attendees can experience the many flavors of Houston and enjoy a delicious and good-sized meal at a very low cost! Come enjoy pop-up shops, live performances, and food samples from Houston’s best restaurants.

Love Everybody Week - February 13 - February 17

Campus Recreation is hosting "Love Everybody Week" dedicated to body positivity during Valentine’s Day. Register for the event to enter a prize drawing. This event is hosted in collaboration with UH Wellness.

I Heart My Student Center

The theme for this year’s event is “Self-Care” focusing on self-care and self-love. The event will feature partnerships with various campus departments promoting their resources for students. There will also be interactive photo booths, free desserts, snacks, entertainment, giveaways, and more. Be sure to bring a friend and join us at this year’s "I Heart My Student Centers" event!

REC Beats 

Join Campus Recreation Fitness, "New Year, New You"! Meet with a trainer once a week to focus on fueling your body and training to help you achieve your fitness goals. All fitness levels are welcome. Sessions are held Tuesdays @ 5 PM on February 14 - March 7, 2023. Register by February 13, 2023 @ myrec.uh.edu!

The Delightful event is BACK! Let's get together and enjoy #delightfulvibes on February 15th! Together, let's spread JOY by carrying out 500,000 acts of kindness. Sociology in Action Lecture

In this talk, Dr. Greg Scott considers the problems and prospects of using visual research and arts-based methods to examine and portray vulnerable persons and communities, including former prisoners, people who use drugs, sex workers, and the chronically unhoused.
