Elena L. Grigorenko has been named the
incoming editor for Psychological Review

Dr. Grigorenko will be the first woman to serve as editor for the journal, which was first published in 1894. "Psychological Review is one of the premier journals in the behavioral sciences," said Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Distinguished Professor Jack M. Fletcher. "Dr. Grigorenko’s appointment is a testament to her scholarship and broad interdisciplinary research skills." Her appointment will run from January 2021 through December 2027. Congratulations Dr. Grigorenko!


Graduate College of Social Work Earns 8-Year Accreditation

At its June 2020 meeting, the Commission on Accreditation reaffirmed the GCSW's accreditation for eight years.

Congratulations to Dean Alan Dettlaff and GCSW college faculty and staff!


The Graduate School has joined the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning, a network of 35 research universities.

The CIRTL mission is to advance STEM undergraduate learning by preparing graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to be future faculty.

The College of Education graduated its full first class of students in the Teach Forward Houston program.

The innovative partnership between UH and the Houston Independent School District provides HISD graduates intensive training to prepare them to return to HISD to teach.
