Student packages available for TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl

The University of Houston is offering two packages to help students attend the TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl on December 28 at a reduced cost. There are a limited number of tickets available. Sign up will close when all tickets have been purchased, or at 11:59 p.m. on December 17. All sales are final. You should have received an earlier email from the Dean of Students Office with more information. Packages include:

Travel Package — $50

• Bus transportation to Birmingham, Alabama, departing UH at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, December 27, and transportation to the game on Tuesday, December 28, returning to UH immediately following the game.
• One night’s hotel accommodations at the Birmingham Hilton (quad occupancy)
• Commemorative souvenir
• UHAA Coogs on the Road Pre-Game Tailgate
• 2021 TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl game ticket

Game Day Package — $20

• Commemorative souvenir
• UHAA Coogs on the Road Pre-Game Tailgate
• 2021 TicketSmarter Birmingham Bowl game ticket

Packages can be purchased through this UH Alumni Association website. 

Free food for all students from Cougar Cupboard

Drop by the Cougar Cupboard for a free bag of food, including fresh produce and snacks! Free for every student, no qualifications or RSVP needed. The Cougar Cupboard is located on the first floor of the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center at 4500 University Drive, in the UH Wellness Suite 1038.

Incubator of Racial Equity in STEM Education (IRESE)

Paid mentorship opportunity for UH Arab-American STEM students who meet requirements. Accepted applicants will receive $1,000 for each completed semester. Arab refugees and high school students will be mentored and tutored through STEM interests and enrichment activities. Deadline: January 15, 2022
