2021 MLK Commemorative Celebration

The 2021 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Celebration is an opportunity for the University of Houston community to celebrate and reflect on the legacy and life of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Join us for the UH MLK Gallery in the Student Center Houston Room, an MLK Community Scavenger Hunt, and a FREE movie screening of Detroit.

Discord Emoji Design Contest

This contest gives the opportunity for creative expression and connection with other students through art and social media by making emojis for the LGBTQ Resource Center Discord Server. Visit our website for more information on this contest. Winners get a choice of swag!

Because I Said I Would

Because I Said I Would is an accountability program and social movement to encourage follow through on promises and goals. Join Founder Alex Sheen in a live talk on this movement on February 2, at noon by accessing the log in link on our website.

LGBTQ Speakers Bureau Training

The Speakers Bureau Training gives participants who want to share their experiences related to the LGBTQ+ community the tools to speak on panels that educate campus about LGBTQ+ issues.

Cooglife Magazine's "The Involvement Issue" out now!

Cooglife Magazine (UH's life, arts and culture magazine created by students and for students) has released its first issue of 2021: The Involvement Issue! We've got interviews with highly involved students, tips on how to give back and get involved on campus and in our communities, and ways to keep connected with each other! Check it out!

Coffee & Commuter Chat

The Coffee and Commuter Chat is a chance for students to ask fellow UH commuters about commuter tips and stories. This event is meant to help build connections among commuter students and share resources.

Student Center Games Room Open

Need a break from your day? Visit the Student Center Games Room!

The Student Center Games Room is open for your individual play and or group play (groups limited to 5 or less per lane/table).  Activities: Bowling, Billiards, and Table Tennis! The Side Pocket/Snack Bar has your favorite snacks and drinks. Glow Bowling now taking place each evening beginning at 6 p.m.

Reservations are not required but a UH ID is. Face Masks and social distancing are enforced.

  • Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 8:45 p.m.
  • Friday & Saturday 10 a.m. – 9:45 p.m.
  • Sunday 1 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.
